For the next few Tuesdays as a lead up to our new single “We’ve Solved Death” b/w “The Movable City” we will be sharing a few remixes for our last record “Scarlet Rays Of Future Echos”. Here is a remix by the one and only Marshall Larada.
next show Thursday July 28th at the Kitty Cat Klub with terrific friends Gospel Gossip and The Bombay Sweets. 9pm. $5. 21+. FB invite here.
Happy summer everyone. We have about 2 shows a month for the rest of the summer so try to take some time off from your beach bumming, BBQing, camping and general laissez faire attitude to come hang out with us in the darkness of some strange Twin Cities bar. Hell, have yourself a cool one. You know we will.
This Friday July 1st come to The Turf Club to see us with our friends The Goondas and Mojo Pinup. The show is $6 and starts at 9pm CST. Here is the Faceplace invite.
This Saturday we send our worries into outer space. Come one come all to evacuate this Earth and remember to bring your black shirts, sweat pants, brand new black-and-white Nike Windrunner athletic shoes, and armband patches. We play with The Book Of Right On’s new side project called Fetch The Warden. 9pm. $5. 21+. Here is the facebook invite.
Inhabitants of Earth-
First of all, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all of your support over the last year. We truly couldn’t be more pleased with your enthusiasm and feedback for ‘Scarlet Rays of Future Echoes.’ We are especially grateful to our label, friends, bands, clubs and promoters who have worked with us to spread the word about this recording. It has been really, really fun to play all of these awesome shows here in Minneapolis over the past year. It was truly our pleasure to receive such positive responses from all of you. We hope continue to bring you more live shows and more new music in the months to come.
Digital distribution of SROFE has been a great stepping off point for us to get the recording out to the public. It has been truly inspiring to see that people are actually interested in spending their hard earned cash for something that we put a lot of time and energy into producing, and we thank you for that support.
With that being said, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you that Past/Futures Records is currently taking pre-orders for SROFE on 12” vinyl.
Part of the initial plan for distributing this recording was that we wanted to avoid the clutter and waste caused by archaic formats, namely Compact Discs. We decided the best way to present the record was to follow the new model, vinyl accompanied by digital download. However, we as musicians and listeners alike all know, pressing vinyl is EXPENSIVE.
So expensive, in fact, that we need your help.
If you, your friends, domestic partners, family, pen pals or extra-dimensional doppelgangers are at all interested in a high-quality, vinyl LP of SROFE, please help us spread the word.
The sooner we can generate just a little more buzz, the sooner we can start shipping the vinyl. And remember, your pre-sale order will include a digital download available immediately, free of charge.
We understand that in this day and age of instant gratification that it might be hard to justify spending your money on a product that you might not actually hold in your hands for some time. But we assure you, you will be pleased with the final product. There is nothing in this world more gratifying (to me, anyway) than breaking the cellophane on a new that new LP that you have been dying to get home and onto your turntable. To look at it, and feel it and listen to it the way it was intended to be heard, as stereo sound waves rather than ones and zeroes.
So we urge you go to www.pastfuturesrecords.com and get in on the pre-order. If you enjoy the music that we are creating, urge your peers to do the same. It means a lot to us and we hope it means something to you.
Thanks again for your continued support. New songs are in the making, more details soon..
-S.V.
